the legend

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down, of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee.
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead, when the skies of November turn gloomy…

Sorry…, it just popped into my head.

Legend has it that the rarest of the syroco corkscrews isn’t the golden knight. While the armored figure does net the big dollars, the piece that seems to be the hardest to find is the syroco tramp. And, I lucked out several years ago and picked up the little guy for 10 dollars at the Kane County Flea market (there is always hope Tommy). He was hidden in a box, upside down amongst two of those ugly pot metal bull corkscrews. I asked how much, and the dealer responded. I handed him the ten dollars and skipped off (I didn’t really skip).

Well, after a few emails, and a little negotiation, there is a second tramp enroute to 16 Kingston! "why do you need two?" you may ask. And, quite frankly, I don’t have an answer to that, but it will be a welcome addition to the collection.
