back from VH (temporarily)

We left Portland, Maine yesterday morning and meandered along hitting any antique stores we could on our way back to "the Highlands." And, we did find a couple of corkscrews. Few have been purchased over the week, but we did get a stained Syroco waiter yesterday, and the prize of the week, a clamshell corkscrew the day before that–a steal at 14 bucks.

This one will be destined for eBay, as both RL and I have one in our respective collections.

We take RL and Marie-France to the airport later this morning. It has been a great week of food, wine, conversation, wine, wine, corkscrewing, lobster, lobster, wine, hiking around vinalhaven, traipsing along the coast, wine, scrabble, and wine. We are all talking about the next adventure together; perhaps Tucson, perhaps Napa, perhaps Spain.

After we drop them off, the lovely and I will be picking up a moving truck, and will start packing up for our move to Vinalhaven, Maine. This week has been a fantastic way to celebrate the next chapter!
