The knights with their names inscribed on the Winchester Round Table are King Arthur, Sir Galahad, Sir Lancelot du Lac, Sir Gawain, Sir Percivale, Sir Lionell, Sir Bors de Ganis, Sir Kay, Sir Tristram de Lyones, Sir Gareth, Sir Bedivere, Sir Bleoberis, La Cote Male Taile, Sir Lucan, Sir Palomedes, Sir Lamorak, Sir Safer, Sir Pelleas, Sir Ector de Maris, Sir Dagonet, Sir Degore, Sir Brunor le Noir, Le Bel Desconneu, Sir Alymere, and Sir Mordred.
It would seem, that a 26th knight, “Sir Oko,” was clearly missing. Or perhaps they simply ran out of room.
And, the Golden Knight has been rearing his shiny head as of late. A few have turned up on eBay, and recently selling for far less than in past years. It would seem that if your collection is lacking the esteemed Syroco Knight, it would be a prime time to pick one up.
As luck would have it, a bottle opener collecting friend emailed last week to explain that he ran across a Golden Knight and is interested in parting with it.
While Sir Oko’s name wasn’t distinguished enough to make the Winchester Round Table, it surely was an oversight as he is definitely a corkscrew that is quite coveted amongst collectors.
If you are in need of a good knight, drop me a line and I will put you in touch with the seller. He is open to offers.
