I hopped on the boat this morning to pick up 20 bundles of shingles for the side of the house, and to take the latest Bottle Scrue Times to the printer. Yes…it is at the printer, and should be going out in the mail on Monday!
While I was on the boat, I received an interesting email offering a corkscrew, which read:
Would you be interested in buying this corkscrew? If not, do you know someone who would? I have a paypal account. This was found amoung some of my grandmother’s belongings. She was born in 1913, and was originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana. I do know that she went to the 1933 World’s Fair in Chicago.
Of course I would be interested!
After looking at the pictures, I made an offer. And, as fortune would have it, she felt it was a fair price.
Not a corkscrew that is going to make the best 6, but certainly a fun little advertising piece to add to the collection.
(thanks for the help DB!)
